For years I have had thoughts, suggestions and views on life’s challenges that I simply have kept to myself. Often times my wife “Debbie” will hear me talking to myself in the shower…..she just laughs and walks away. It’s usually around work, the kids or my Boston Teams that I am rambling on about. “Did I say that out loud?”… can be dangerous at times especially when it comes to sports and my kids. I will be thinking about a game or a play and will drop the “F” bomb in my head because I live in the South now and swearing out loud is not permissible. (I will tell you about that latah!) My kids will then ask me “what’s wrong Dad?” and I realize that I was not exactly keeping my thoughts to myself. That’s great, more bad parenting.
I need an out, I need to get this stuff out of my mind and off my chest. Then a professional acquaintance of mine, and no she is not a psychiatrist, suggested I start a blog. Brilliant Idea! I can share my thoughts and issues with you and there is no charge and you can’t yell at me and I don’t have to listen to your problems…This is bettah than being married. (Let’s keep that between us). So once a week, I will “Blog!” It may not always be politically correct or appropriate but it will probably put a smile on your face , but remember, it’s not about you, it’s about me. So sit back and “let me tell you something.”
